The Civil Division is in charge of processing & serving civil papers. These include small claims, original notices, petitions, evictions, subpoenas, orders, wage garnishments, levies, writ of attachments, sheriff sales, and condemnations, etc.

The IowaVINE system is a service through which victims of crime can use the internet to search for information regarding custody status of their offender and to register to recieve telephone and email notification when the offender's custody status changes.
